Alice grounds her work in compassion, curiosity, and connection. As a strengths-based, relational therapist, she supports her clients in gaining insight and empowerment through the context of a safe and collaborative relationship. Alice sees how a person’s current struggles are connected to their identities as felt in the world and to their circumstances of the past and present. She knows that these experiences live in the brain and the body and she creates space to attend to those somatic needs through her approach.

In recognition of the harmful systems in which we live, Alice believes an essential part of healing involves actively employing an anti-oppressive lens that refuses to pathologize trauma survival. She understands this requires continued reflection about roles and vulnerabilities in the therapeutic relationship and she appreciates that her perspective is inherently shaped by her social location.

Alice knows her clients are the experts on their experiences and she is committed to creating a practice that affirms people of all backgrounds. She has particular interest in supporting older adolescents and young adults; members of marginalized communities; folks with histories of trauma or loss; as well as those working towards collective liberation as educators, healers, artists, and activists. However, Alice welcomes anyone looking to reflect and grow.
