  • After you reach out, Alice will be in touch to schedule a 20 minute screening. This call is an opportunity to get to know each other a bit, hear a little about what you’re looking for in therapy, and answer any questions you may have. If it feels like a good fit, Alice will share intake paperwork and get you scheduled for a first session.

  • For individual therapy, Alice finds the deepest and most effective work happens when meeting with folks weekly or twice-weekly. She finds this frequency is especially important early in getting to know each other.

  • This varies a lot depending on the specific needs and circumstances of each client. Therapy is a significant investment in yourself and Alice believes you deserve to move at a pace that feels right for you.

Alice works with folks over a short time frame (a few months to a year) and a longer time frame (a few years or longer). She finds longer term work tends to offer greater opportunity for self-reflection and deeper growth.

  • That makes sense! Alice knows that it can be a hard and scary thing to be vulnerable with someone new. She welcomes you as you are and she understands the bravery it takes to start therapy. Take your time and reach out when you are ready.

Sliding Scale

Please note that if you request a sliding scale spot and really can afford to pay the full fee, you are limiting access to care for those who need the gift of financial flexibility. Being honest about your financial situation enables the growth of more equitable and financially sustainable communities. Alice encourages folks to reflect on current financial circumstances alongside areas of marginalization and areas of privilege. The cost of therapy reflects a respect and commitment to the work of practitioners in healing fields who have professional costs and living expenses. When paid fairly, practitioners are able to dedicate more resources to each client and can provide more free and low cost offerings. This sliding scale framework is based on the work of folks like Alexis J Cunningfolk and Hadassah Damien.

Good Faith Estimate

In January 2022, a law called the No Surprises Act went into effect that requires healthcare providers to share what is called a Good Faith Estimate to all clients annually. This outlines what you can expect to pay for the services you receive, and is intended to protect individuals from surprise billing. Alice will provide a Good Faith Estimate upon scheduling a first appointment.
