Cathaya is named for a particular species of pine that grows on the cliff edges of mountains in southern China. Cathaya trees offer a model of growth and vitality in challenging circumstances and serve as inspiration for this practice. As a queer, mixed-race, Chinese-American woman, Alice is particularly attuned to the impact of a person’s larger context on their mental health. She knows that part of healing means acknowledging and working beyond the systems that have caused harm. She firmly believes healing is possible and deserved by all. Alice would be thrilled to discuss how she could be of support to you.
